I'm a tenant at Bangalore and I am on lease for a period of 3 years. The lease agreement is unregistered but notarized and as per the terms either party can give 3 month's notice and vacate the house. Also, I have paid the refundable security deposit of eight lakhs via bank transfer and have the bank statement records. Three months back Landlord came to our house and did some nuisance and also beat us which resulted in police complaint and 3 month's notice was given on the stamp paper at police station and the three months period ended and I am daily messaging the landlord to know the status of my refund but landlord ignoring the message and doesn't reply. Still, I'm in same house waiting for refund. I am planning to visit the police station again and if things don't work there what can be further steps. The landlord is 420 and I'm sure he would do the same thing with legal notice if I send and he won't be at house and will do everything to avoid. So what can be further steps.

Hello Sir You have all right to recover that money from the land lord. It would be advised to send a legal notice to the land lord to return the security deposit and in case he doesn't you would proceed with filing a money recovery suit agains him. Hi, Since your lease Deed is not registered it is not advisable to legal course action under agreement of Lease. But, you paid him the Deposit by way of Bank transfer . You can issue Legal Notice to landlord asking him to return the loan amount. if land lord doesn't reply or return your notice. You can file a Money Recovery case against him and you can recover along with all expenses including legal Expenses. Contact me for Further information on this Forum.
