My dad has died and I tried selling my house to move from village to city. But I recently found that my father's cousin's name is in the registry for part of the land(not all of it) and now they are demanding money to sign on papers. Even though he did not even know that his name exists on our property. Our house built in 2003 on this land and it is under our possession for way longer than that. What would the best way to deal with this matter? Is there any way I can get the title by adverse possession act (found this online)

But being co Owner of the property the other man will not let you to get it transferred. Get the matter resolved mutually and amicably with the intervention of elders or some influential persons of family.
