Ancestral Property

Hello sir/madam; I am 47 and I have an elder brother only. My father expired a year ago and we have ancestral property. Before my Dad passed away, we had divided the property 3 ways - for Dad, for Brother and myself. Now, that my father has expired, what is the status of his share. Does it go to my Mother, who has complete rights to sell it? Or, will the property have to be further divided 3 ways - for Mother, Brother and myself.
