I jointly own a flat at Navi Mumbai along with my elder brother (aashish) and Mother (Vanita). Now we (myself and my mother) would like to transfer the ownership of the same flat to my elder brother's name (Aashish). So Which are the best possible and economical ways to do the same. Can we do GIFT DEED for the same? Can you also provide the estimation of expenses required to do the total process? If a Gift deed is not possible, which are the other options available.

Yes, owner or joint owners can always gift their self acquired property to any one she/he chooses.Make a joint gift deed signed by all co owners It needs to be duly stamped and registered.

Hi, You can transfer the ownership through the GIFT Deed. The cost is the fee of the lawyer for the drafting of the deed, stamp duty and registration charges.
