it was already answered on this website and other website. She have right over property. But you already purchased it from your father. So it depends on that sale deed. The Sale deed needs to be studied to give remedy. She want her share after getting huge dowry and spending lot in her marriage. But there is way so that she will not get anything.

Hi, As you said your father sold you the ancestral property. The ancestral property cannot be sold without the consent of successors in case of major and in case of minor court permission is required. So if your sister gave consent to sale of the property, then she cannot claim right over it. But if there was no consent then sale deed is void and she can claim right over ancestral property. The property remains ancestral if divided between legal heir, it cannot be considered as self acquired property. If you find it helpful, please rate my answer. Thank You.

Sir, it's an ancestral property. So your sister definitely has a right of equal share Just like you. Even if your father sells it to you it is void. He cannot sell. If your sister files a case it will be valid. so it's better to divide equally amongst you.
