if property is free and dsnt carry any disputes so you should mention in the drafting od deed that original one from the same person is lost and if any disputes regarding the same may be raised he has to suffer the loss ...btw basically it dsnt carry any hard disputes

duplicate copy attested by registrar is also use full when copy of original is lost.. you can once make the confirmation with tehsil and registry office both that the land is free from any disputes or not.
