Let us understand the transaction Say you have agreed to buy the property for 1 crore then you have deduct TDS of 1 Percent from 1 crore and Pay only balance 99 lakh and as a buyer you also need bear the registration expenses.TDS responsibility is on buyer hence you need to deduct from consideration and pay to the govt(Income tax) and It is compulsory for buyer.Hence go ahead with Paying TDS and registration charges and balance consideration amount.Wishing you all the best for further enquiries Contact*Phone*
Hello Sir Form 16B is a TDS Certificate which certifies the amount of tax deducted at source on a property purchase has been deposited by the buyer with the Income Tax department. Hence, Form 16B is used as a TDS certificate to record the TDS deducted on a sale of immovable property. For further information it would be advised to contact a property lawyer in your city. Thanks Please rate if you find this advice helpful
