My wife are 5 siblings all are married. She has ancestral property but her father has 8 sisters all are married. Now due to some dispute in the family my wife wants to claim her right from her father's ancestral property. Please advise if she can do it and if her aunts will also have right to claim. My wife has 1 brother and 4 sisters. None of the sister will claim but her father is willing to give everything to his son but my wife and her brother aren't have much affection.

Hi, Your wife along with her sisters and brothers can demand a share in ancestral property. If other sisters do not want a share they will have to give a no objection certificate or relinquish their share in favour of any sibling. Share in ancestral property cannot be taken away.
