Property Encroachment Issue

Basically, I already have a lawyer taking up the case. We have fought at the lower court and the court dismissed the plaintiffs and defendants claim. So now we are awaiting a government surveyor to measure the land according to the land deeds. My father is the plaintiff while we were overseas the defendant built on our land without any approval. But can I know how can I expedite this matter? I am also highly interested to hire a lawyer whom can get this case done as soon as possible.
