Right To My Father's Property

Some of my father's property is in his and his second wife's name (as his first wife who is my mother died long back). I wanted to ask if I have any legal right in that property, in case of my father's inadvertent death. Also, my father doesn't have any children from his second marriage and all the property that he has is from his own earned money not my stepmother's money. I also want to know if it will be legal if my stepmother doesn't give me any property and gives it to her relatives in case of my father's inadvertent death.
