We have shops on rent for the last 50 years. My father used to pay rent in cash to the owner. There is no rent agreement and proof that we have been paying rent. My father has been paying property tax for the past 50 years and his name is there on the property tax documents. My father passed away last month. How do we get the name changed on property tax documents? What are our options to keep the shop? Please advice.
