Status Quo On Property

I plan to purchase a property from Mr. A. He purchased it from Mr. B. Mr. B took bayana from Mr. C but somehow their deal could not be materialised. Mr. C took a stay/status quo on the property. But during the course of a civil suit, he requested for a financial decree. Court ordered the financial decree in his favour and ordered Mr. B to pay the costs. Mr. A (seller in my case) is not a party in the case. We approached sub-registrar who issued a notice to Mr. C to present a stay order from a competent court within a period of 7 days from the date of receipt of the notice. Mr did not turn up with any stay order. My query is whether there is any chance of my being a party to any litigation in the future. If yes, what precautionary steps should I take to avoid such a situation in the future? Kindly guide. Thanking you in anticipation,
