I have purchased a property dated 29th July 2020 in Vadodara and have made full payment to the seller. The seller then had requested me to allow him to stay for another 3 months for free as due to pandemic he was unable to find another accommodation to which I have agreed. Now, he is making excuses and refuses to vacate the property. I live in Mumbai and cannot afford to travel to Vadodara due to time constraints. Please advise if I can file an official Police complaint on this or If I can send him a legal notice.

In legal parlance you should manage to serve a detailed legal notice upon the illegal and unauthorised occupants intimating him of your further clear intentions regarding recovery of vacant possession. You can also take help from the Local Police for getting the vacant possession of the property.
