Hi, Under Indian Law, the sole owner of the property is the person in whose name the sale deed is executed, and to whom the title and other documents are consequently transferred to. So you can buy the property in your name exclusively, and you wife will not have any claim over it.

Here in India the person whose name reflects in the sale Deed is the alone and individual owner of the property. The spouse has no right towards that property. But if someone intentionally wishes to have the name of his spouse added in the document of title that is Sale Deed or any such document he can voluntarily get the name added. But there is absolutely no legal compulsion. I hope I am clear in my expression. Please give me Rank Five and follow me after reviewing my resume and book a consultation for further discussion and explanation if required.
