The situation you're facing is serious. Here's what you can do to recover your ₹12,00,000: Police Complaint and Investigation: Continue Cooperation: You've done well by filing a complaint and cooperating with the police investigation. The fact that the person admitted to receiving the money in front of the police is a positive step. Challenge Manipulated Evidence: Explain the Manipulation: Clearly explain to the police officer investigating your case that the WhatsApp messages have been tampered with. Describe how the person deleted your messages and kept only those showing payment.Seek Backup Recovery (Limited Chance): While unlikely, you can ask the police to investigate if there's any possibility of recovering deleted WhatsApp messages from your phone's storage. However, success depends on various factors like how long ago the messages were deleted and how your phone is used. Dear Sir, If FIR is not registered you have to file civil case by investing in Court fees and Advocate fees. It may run for two to three years. You may fight if you have money and patience. Further, you may influence the Police to get atleast a post dated cheque for the said amount from the said person.
