Dear Client, If the local police station is not taking effective action, you can escalate the matter to the higher authorities. If the police refuse to register your FIR or investigate properly, you can file a complaint before the Magistrate. The Magistrate can order the police to investigate the matter. Alongside the criminal proceedings, you can also file a civil suit for the recovery of the Rs. 12 lakhs. Sometimes mediation can be a quicker way to resolve disputes, especially if the other party is willing to settle. It is also advisable to engage a competent lawyer who can help navigate these options effectively and ensure that your case is taken seriously.

You have to wait the the respective courts` orders and can quicken the process by filing IA s on case to case basis. Alternativly you may try compromise negotians if opposite party is compelled to negotiating table.
