Dear Client, If the accused has admitted in court that he took money from you and is refusing to return it, but no action has been taken by the court, you can file a civil suit for the recovery of money, if you haven’t already. Since the accused has admitted to taking the money, you have a strong case for recovery. You can also apply for an attachment before judgment to secure the accused’s property so that they cannot dispose of it before the court decides the matter. You or your lawyer can mention the matter before the court, requesting an urgent hearing or decision on the application for judgment based on admission. If the accused is deliberately disobeying a court order, you can file a contempt petition. Should you require any further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us.
