Asked in Company
Dear client if your appointment letter does not mention anything about serving a notice period then you have a legal backing and you can send them or reply noting stating that you did not had anything related to not a period mentioned in your appointment letter
Greetings! Kindly reply the notice pointing out that there was no such condition mentioned in appointment letter. Regards.
1. Reply that mail with the guidelines of your lawyer.
If it's not mentioned in your appointment letter and if it was never communicated to you orally as well to serve the company a notice period letter then you are not duty bound to do the same. And if they have already sent you the legal notice then it's advisable to properly reply to them along with annexures stating that it was nowhere written that you have to serve a notice period letter. And also attach your appointment letter also in the said reply. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.
