I bought an under construction flat in Pune in the month of February 2020 and I paid the amount of stamp duty (6%) and registration fees to the builder and he generated the challan for the same but due to Covid lockdown it was not possible to do the Registration. Now as per the Maharashtra government, they have reduced the Stamp duty on flat from 6% to 3% so I want to take the benefit of this reduction of stamp duty as its a big value. My queries are as follows, 1) Is it possible to get back this amount of 3%. and how much time it will take to receive this amount. 2) Do I need to again give the registration fees again. It will be a really big help also if anyone lets me know the procedure to do this.

It is appealable , appeal before District Registrar since chalan is gegerated and Registration not carried out. Since there is change in rates. The current rates are applicable. Contact any Advocates in this Forum for your relief.
