Firstly the central public information officer has no right whatsoever to ask you for an I'd proof. All you have to do is make an application u/s. 6 of The Right to Information Act which should be in form 1. If the Public Information officer fails to give you the information sought for under aforesaid application within 30 days of receipt the same, as required under section*Phone*of the said Act, you can move an appeal before the officer who is higher/senior in rank to the Central Public Information officer under Sec*Phone*of the said Act, within 30 days from the expiry of 30 days period stipulated Section 7(1) of the said Act. The appeal under the aforesaid section can be filed before the officer who is senior in rank than Central Public Information Officer even if you are aggrieved by decision of the Central Public Information officer and the same should be filed within 30 days from the receipt of such decision. Further you also have a remedy to make a complaint against Central Public Information officer before the Central Information Commission u/s. 18 of the said act, on the grounds stated in said section.
