College Non Compliant With RTI Declaration Regarding EWS Seats | Vkeel - Free Legal Advice

IIM L in its RTI declaration stated the EWS seats 48 however in the final list it made only 36 offers that are also 1.5 times the actual seats. This makes the real count to 24 or even lower which is far below the number promised in the RTI. When contacted Admission office is saying the situation is different and rudely replying to file new RTI. What could be done for a student who is in the Admission Waitlist? If they abide by the stated number there is a chance of admission however we have a doubt that this manipulation has been done by many other IIMs as well. Please advise if they can deviate from the stated number in the RTI

demand complete documents in RTI if not satisfied with the reply to RTI then file an appeal

Initially RTI application was tiger, but by lapse of time all mighty authority have successfully made it toothless tiger. Even if you file applications, they may respond so conveniently so that no one can bind they even after legal proceedings.. No court may go deep into microscopic scrutiny of procedure. So it's better to avail alternative options, if any.
