Dear Abhishek, In India, CARA is a centralized authority controlling entire adoption process. First step: To register yourself with CARA ( www.cara.nic.in) by uploading required documents. second step: File Application for seeking adoption order with all prerequisite documents i.e. Income proof, DOB proof, consent proof ( biological parent/child, if above 5 years) and other relevant documents in concerned district family court. Third step: To collect adoption order copy by paying required fee. Fourth step: File photocopy of adoption order to District protection unit of the concerned area of your location. After this, adoption process is completed.
