Last year I applied for new household electricity connection , electricity department refused it saying that the colony is not electrified , so we used generator to power our home , later 4-5 connection were given in the colony , so when I went again to get connection, the engeenier visited the colony and started making video of our house, and started accusing us for electricity theft , and has fined â‚¹51000 penalty , even though I was not stealing electricity and connection has also not been given to me yet. I contacted every official of electricity department but no help What can I do in this situation ? Can I take some against the department.?

As per Electricity supply Act they have to give connection on your application.. u can file a writ petition before high court and get remedy.. if their theft case is not true, u can quash that order too..
