Joint Ownership Of Trademark _ Region Wise _ Separate Applications

Is it possible to assign a trademark between two individuals (joint ownership of an already existing trademark) with a provision to divide and cover the markets (geographical regions) of the country between them? My question is : Is it possible to register in the trademark registry with the regions allocated for each individual (geographical division for business operations) along with the trademark as two different applications for two of them?
