Dear Sir, It is a formal meeting and you cannot be penalised for not attending before the Lok Adalath. Since there is only one installment is due it is not appropriate for the Bank to approach the Lok Adalath Authority.

It's understandable that you're unable to attend the Lok Adalat due to travel constraints. While attendance is encouraged, it's not mandatory. However, there are still options you can explore to address the non-payment of the loan: 1. Contact the Bank: Reach out to the bank and explain your inability to attend due to financial limitations. They might offer alternative solutions like:Rescheduling the Lok Adalat: In some cases, the bank may be able to reschedule your participation in a future Lok Adalat closer to your location.Negotiating a settlement: You can propose settling the debt outside of Lok Adalat. This might involve a one-time payment, a repayment plan, or a waiver of some interest or charges. 2. Seek Legal Aid: Consider seeking legal assistance from a legal aid organization or pro bono lawyer. They can offer guidance on your rights and options in dealing with the bank. 3. Respond in Writing: If you're unable to communicate with the bank directly, consider sending a written response explaining your situation. This demonstrates your willingness to resolve the issue despite not attending the Lok Adalat.

You can ask bank to get it scheduled for next date, if you are willing to pay them back. Trouble can arise at later stage of escalation of issue, not at this stage. For more details, you are free to contact.
