I sold my Hyderabad registered car in 2013 in Bangalore. I got NOC from from Hyd and handed over to the buyer alongwith necessary papers. Hyd RTO said he will send RCBook direct to RTO Bangalore. Somehow it did not reach Bangalore RTO. The buyer followed up with RTO a couple of times. He received a reply no papers pertaining to the car reached from RTO Hyd to Bangalore. I followed up with upto 2 years..he never replied. I thought for payment of dues to me he never replied and kept quiet. Now last month the buyer approached me he forgot to follow up RTO all these years and wants me to apply duplicate RC or Duplicate NOC He is not using the car and is somewhere near Bidar, He never renewed insurance. Tax expired in 2018. Renewal of RC due is in Sept 21. As per records, I am the legal owner; I am afraid the buyer knowing the implications of tax and penalty approached me now for duplicate RC or NOC reissued. What should I do to protect my interest against tax and penalty

Dear Sir, It is dangerous situation for you to continue as owner of the car since it is in physical possession of somebody else. If any accident happens and insurance was not covered then you will be held responsible to pay the compensation amount. Please give me rank after viewing my details.
